Happy New Year (of tying).  This next Friday, Jan 11, at The Club at McInnis, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., we'll be tying a .  .  .  .  .  wait for it;  The Spanish Fly.  Another in the list of small attractor nymphs built on a jig hook so the point rides 'up' used by competitors from all the top International Fly Fishing Teams, along with The Frenchie, Rainbow Warrior, and Iron Lotus, designed by Lance Egan of Utah, our U.S. FF Team Captain, which we've tied this past year.  This Spanish Fly pattern was designed by members of the Spanish National Team, but popularized by the French when they used it to win the World FF Championships in 2017.  Spain came back and used 'The Spanish Fly' to win the WFFC in 2018.  You need this one in your fly box to dramatically improve your 'catch' rate.

All materials will be provided, along with vises and tools for anyone needing them.  Hope you can join us.

Tight lines,
